UK Bingo Enthusiasts Fears A Cut In Winnings

Wood Green Hall's Bingo players are campaigning against a new gambling law that they fear could ruin their bingo club. Bingo Club Members of Mecca Bingo, Lordship Lane are in fury over the Government's proposed Gambling Bill, which could cut cash prizes extensively at the existing bingo clubs all over the country.

If these new "super casinos" are permitted, bingo players could see their prizes cut in half and chances of a big jackpot win reduced. Mecaa Bingo club customers have joined up to fight these proposed changes and even plan to lobby their Hornsey and Wood Green MP Barbara Roche in a bid to halt the bill before it formally becomes a law.

Bingo Players who are regulars in this clubs even sent out specially designed postcards which contains their objections and apprehensions about the proposed "super casinos".

Damian Smith, the Mecca Wood Green Manager said that their customers are upset that the proposed bill would force Wood Green Mecca to be degraded into second class status.

The Bill will give virtually all gambling monopolies to super casinos which will be allowed to have products and prizes that bingo halls cannot give. It is a very unfair competition and how would authorities expect them to survive after that decision.

Bingo owners are hopeful that they can generate enough support to force revisions to the proposed law before it is passed by the Parliament.
